Context
This project was part of a larger project for an automatic screw sorter. This bowl feeder would serve as the inital deposit for scews and nuts which would then seperate and feed into a series of cameras for sorting. I was in charge of the CAD design and assembly of this project.

Ferromagnetic Plate
This is the CAD drawing for the ferromagnetic plate opposing the electromagnet. These were then given to and made by the university machine shop.

Electromagnet Bracket
This is the CAD drawing for the bracket which holds the large electromagnet. Steel was required for this part to be rigid enough to keep the electromagnet from sticking to the plate sitting above it.
Unfortunately, the semester ended before we were able to build and assemble the bowl which sits on top of the assembly however the project was able to verify proof of concept that circular motion could be accomplished by vibrations.
